Forge Siding delivers full-scope Siding Replacement across Mountain Rest, SC: complete demo, substrate moisture assessment with calibrated meter readings, housewrap replacement, and new cladding installation with written documentation at every stage.
Not every crew offering Siding Replacement in Mountain Rest, SC has the manufacturer certifications and documented track record to back the claim. Here's what separates our team.
Full strip of existing panels, nails, and trim. Recyclable material sorted, debris hauled off-site, and exposed areas tarped every evening before we leave.
Pin-type meter readings on every exposed wall section before any new material goes on. Readings documented and shared with you on the day they're taken.
Substrate damage found during demo is photographed, scoped in writing, and priced in a change order you approve before we do anything additional.
Current GL and workers' comp, certificates provided before work starts. License number at first contact — verify it in the state database yourself.
We don't farm out our Siding Replacement work. Every project in Mountain Rest, SC is assigned to a technician with documented experience on that specific scope.
Complete strip of all existing panels, nails, furring strips, and trim. Staging tarps protect landscaping. Site swept for fasteners every evening.
Pin-type meter readings at a systematic grid across every exposed wall section. All readings documented with location references for your project file.
Old housewrap replaced on every full replacement project regardless of apparent condition — original wrap is compromised at seams and penetrations once the demo disturbs it.
Every rough opening reflashed with self-adhering membrane tape before new cladding goes on. The most consequential detail in a replacement project and the most commonly skipped.
Your chosen product — vinyl, fiber cement, engineered wood, steel, or composite — installed to manufacturer specification with correct overlap, fastener pattern, and expansion clearances.
Corner posts, J-channel, fascia wrap, and soffit panels replaced as part of the replacement scope so all components carry the same warranty start date.
A clear, predictable process reduces stress and produces better outcomes. Here's exactly what happens when you call our Mountain Rest, SC Siding Replacement team.
We photograph and moisture-meter the existing exterior, document suspect areas, and take precise square footage measurements. The assessment feeds directly into the line-item estimate.
Estimate delivered within 24 hours. Change order process for substrate discoveries disclosed upfront: photo, written scope, price — then your approval. Always before we proceed.
Tear-off first. Substrate findings addressed before staging new material. Housewrap and flashing go on before panels. Trim last. No skipping the sequence.
All debris removed. Property swept for fasteners. Final walkthrough by elevation. Manufacturer warranties registered in your name. Workmanship warranty document delivered at sign-off.
They found rotted sheathing on the north wall during demo. Called me within the hour, showed photos, gave me the change order before doing anything. That's the transparency I'd never gotten from a contractor before.
Three bids — one lump sum, one vague breakdown, one line-item document from Forge Siding. The difference in specificity was the entire decision. Four pages of components versus a single number I couldn't evaluate.
The sheathing repair change order process worked exactly as described. Found two sheets of damage, got a call same afternoon with photos and price, approved it in writing, done.
